SMOKIN'! : Holland Companion PROPANE Portable Grill, No Flare-up BBQ Grill

I gave it 4 stars in my orig post, only because i ran out of gas in the middle of cooking fish using those little tanks. Before i ever purchased this, I knew it would be a problem with these little gas tanks. Well, it stopped before it was done. That was the bad side, it was only warm when i went to take the fish off. I found another tank, put it on, started it up, cooked for another 10 minutes. Figured the fish would be ruined, but it wasn't, it was perfect. Beats me how come, but the fish came out better then it ever has when i have BBQ'D. I am ordering the conversion hose so i can slap on a real propane tank. My feeling is it should come with one, even if the cost is another $15.00. But, I'm very satisfied with the unit, great little BBQ, well made, and most importantly, it works as advertised.
I changed to 5 stars, it has been working for a long time, and now that I know how to use it, makes a big difference. I also bought a small propane tank and it works great, I recommend you bypass the little tanks and bite the bullet for a larger tank which can also be filled almost anywhere.

The grill itself is easy to setup and get going. I had downsized from a full sized gas grill that outlived it usefulness and I am sorry I didn't go with a larger sized grill with a traditional grilling grate. I do cook for myself so the surface size of the CGG-180 is adequate. However, I have had difficulty while cooking on the grill - a lot of the meat & chicken sticks to the surface even when using a cooking spray. I'm now successfully using a sprayed aluminum foil over the grill but in my opinion that takes away some of the drama & pleasure of grilling. It also stands quite a bit lower than a standard grill - I would guess that's another reason for it being called "petit" It can be effectively used at a higher level by not utilizing the legs and just putting the grill on a table. Alternatively, you could place the legged grill on a small platform to have it at a desirable level.
